Group Family Camp 2026
Dear Parents and Carers,
We are pleased to invite all sections to our 2026 Group Camp, taking place from Friday 12 June to Sunday 14 June 2026 at:

This year is especially exciting, as Rowlands Castle will be hosting what we believe is our first family camp.
We are also pleased to invite 3rd Hayling to join us for the Saturday day visit on 13 June 2026.
Who can attend
Squirrels Squirrels are invited to attend the Saturday day visit, Squirrels attending the day visit must be accompanied by a parent or carer.
Beavers Beavers are invited to attend either the Saturday day visit or the family camp. Beavers attending camp must be accompanied by a parent or carer.
Cubs and Scouts Cubs and Scouts are invited to attend the section camp. They will camp with their section leaders and fellow young people.
Families Parents, carers and non-member children from all sections are welcome to attend in the family camping area.
What to expect
We are planning a fun and active weekend with a range of activities, which may include:
- Campfire
- Archery
- Tomahawks
- Pizza cooking
- Low ropes
- Rafting
- Craft
- Games
- Water fight on Sunday
Please note that activities may be adjusted if needed due to weather, available volunteers, or operational reasons.
Camping arrangements
Cubs and Scouts will camp with their sections. Tents will be provided for them, but they will need to bring their own personal kit and sleeping kit.
Families attending the family camp will need to bring their own tent and suitable camping equipment.
A suggested kit list will be included in the welcome pack, which will be sent out closer to the camp.
Food and dietary requirements
All attendees will be catered for during the event. Dietary requirements and other relevant needs should be provided during the booking process.
For Scout members, please ensure details on Online Scout Manager (OSM) are fully up to date.
For non-members and family attendees, required details will be collected during the online booking process.
Adult attendance and support
Parents and other adults attending as day visitors or as part of the family camp are expected to remain on site and support the event, including helping with activities where needed. During activity times, adults aged 18 and over will be expected to assist while young people are in the care of volunteers.
Any attendee aged 18 or over will also need to complete:
- A DBS check
- The relevant e-learning, including Safety and Safeguarding (Allow 30 mins for each)
We understand this may be new for some families, so support sessions will be arranged, including daytime and evening opportunities to help with the online learning and system.

Booking deadline
Adults (Those requiring a DBS) is 10th April 2026 @ 23:30.
The closing date for all bookings is 31 May 2026 @ 23:30.
Prices
Prices include all activities, meals & site/equipment costs.
The prices for each ticket can be seen below in the ‘Tickets’ section below
Times
- Camp arrival (Friday): 6:30 – 7:00 PM
- Camp departure (Sunday): 2:00 PM
- Day visit arrival (Saturday): 09:30 – 09:45 PM
- Day visit collection(Saturday): 5:00 – 5:30 PM
